Port of the Islands is located in the Everglades between Naples and Everglades City off SR 41. It’s a quiet community with a combination of homes and condos, many with boat slips and lifts. Most of the individual condo neighborhoods have their own amenities, such as a pool and clubhouse. There is a county-run boat ramp and ship store, as well as a private marina with boat slips for purchase or rent. This boating community is located just 7 miles from the gulf by way of a channel through the Ten Thousand Islands. This is what gives it the local distinction of being called a “hurricane hole.” There is a plethora of wildlife, including birds, fish, and manatees. It’s worth a look for anyone who enjoys boating and fishing or just likes to have a peaceful neighborhood with a short 20-minute drive to all Naples and Marco Island have to offer!
